Gest grabs six stars in 'flash flood' trial

David Gest managed to win six stars during the 'flash flood' Bushtucker trial, fending off a combination of baby alligators and arachnids in the process.
The challenge involved the 53-year-old being locked inside a tank with the aim of opening ten pipes with different sized wrenches. Every one of the six pipes Gest opened contained not only a star, but various creatures that were propelled into the tank with a torrent of water.
After quitting the trial due to rising water levels, Gest stated: "It was so refreshing to get some nice, cold water in one place and plus I had some of my oldest friends there - two alligators, some spiders, some snakes and some fish. I wanted to get all ten - that’s the competition in me - I should have cut a few comedy lines and gone for the moment."
Gest did not leave the tank alone, with host Ant McPartlin pointing out - "You’ve got a spider on your head."
"So, big deal," replied Liza Minelli's former husband in a nonchalant manner, scooping the eight-legged creature from his scalp and tossing it aside.
