Nadine Dorries, Lembit Opik, Paul Burrell: 'I'm a Celeb's unlikely stars

By
Tory MP Nadine Dorries caused controversy yesterday afternoon (November 7) after it was reported that she's signed up to appear on ITV's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

The conservative politician claimed that she'll use the jungle-themed reality TV show to air her political views, including her notion on reducing the current 24-week time limit for abortions.

It's since been reported that she's been suspended from the Conservative party, with a senior Tory party source saying: "She has been suspended from the party until she meets with George Young when she comes back, when she will have to explain herself.

"The concern is she is not doing her parliamentary duty and serving her constituents."

We've taken a look back at 10 of I'm a Celebrity's unlikely contestants - featuring the Sex Pistols' John Lydon, politician Lembit Opik and Liza Minnelli's estranged ex-husband David Gest.
