The soap actress-turned-lads' mag favourite promised viewers at the start of last night's (November 11) launch show that she would show the British public that she is more "complex and deep" than they give her credit for.

However, Flanagan struggled early on in the jungle challenges, breaking down in tears during a high-wire entrance across a ravine.
The actress also feared that she had annoyed her campmates already with her behaviour and "freaking out" over rats and bugs crawling around their sleeping area.

There was more bad news for Flanagan when she was picked by viewers to represent her camp in the next bushtucker trial Bug Burial. The task involves being buried alive in a coffin for ten minutes. The celebs will be joined in their boxes by special jungle critters every 60 seconds.
She will compete against MP Nadine Dorries to win her team - David Haye, Brian Conley, Charlie Brooks and Linda Robson - some extra food.

Producers are apparently relieved that Flanagan has visited the jungle shower, because currently the bathing pool is filled with sludge.
The show's bosses were apparently concerned that viewers wouldn't get to see the younger stars such as Flanagan, Ashley Roberts and Hugo Taylor showcasing their physiques for the cameras.
