The soap star has been voted in by the public for every trial so far, and has lost each one, walking away from the 'Bug Burial' trial after ten seconds and being beaten by Nadine Dorries in the 'Rotten Rhymes' eating trial.
In tonight's episode she was asked to enter 'Cruelty Towers', a makeshift hotel filled with snakes, an ostrich, a crocodile, spiders, flies, offal and a collapsing ceiling. Hidden in the hotel were ten stars, with each star representing a meal for her camp.
Despite telling her campmate before the challenge that she felt "chilled" ahead of the trial, just as she prepared to enter, she told hosts Ant and Dec that she was "getting worked up", claiming: "If they're [the public] going to keep do this to me every single day, I want to go home."
She eventually agreed to take on the trial - on entering the first room, she was confronted with an ostrich, who she promptly named Olly.
After removing a light from the ceiling to dislodge the first star, the room plunged into darkness and critters fell from the ceiling, leading Flanagan to shout "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!", ending the task prematurely and leading to an automatic fail.
She expressed remorse at her early exit almost immediately, saying: "I didn't realise it was going to go dark, that freaked me out. Oh I wish I could have gone in there now, I feel really stupid. I wish I could have gone back in there now. Can I go back in?", before admitting that she didn't want to return to the camp.
When her campmates were informed of the news, David Haye said: "Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I upset? No. She said she tried her best and that's all you can ask from our little Helen."
Charlie Brooks was less convinced, however, and expressed her disappointment that Flanagan was only able to make it into one room.
Ant and Dec and the crew are rumoured to have "lost patience" with Flanagan and her attitude towards the trials.
I'm a Celebrity continues tomorrow (November 16) at 9pm on ITV1.
