The X Factor's 'Guilty Pleasures' live show averaged 8.23m (33.8%) from 8pm and added only 190k on timeshift.

Strictly Come Dancing won the night with a massive 10.33m (43.9%) for its Wembley show in BBC One's 6.30pm slot, holding on to all of last week's fanbase.

Then at 8pm, Merlin logged a solid 5.5m (22.4%) at 8pm for 'A Lesson in Vengeance'.

However, BBC One lost steam as the night progressed as Casualty (3.57m/14.9%) and Live at the Apollo (2.41m/10.6%) struggled against The X Factor.
