"I used to have really bad anxiety," said Flanagan. "But after being here among cameras 24/7 for over two weeks I could not be any more confident.

"What have I got to hide? Everyone has seen me for who I am, everyone has seen me at the worst moment of my life... crying hysterically because I've been so scared. I really don't care what anyone thinks about me now.

"It [has been] humiliating enough that when I get out of here, there will be nothing that fazes me. Nothing will embarrass me... which I think is great."

The TV cook replied: "I think you are a sweet girl, you really are, and I know you are scatty and young but that's what is endearing about you. Never ever change."

She went on to joke: "The only thing [is] I would like to take that mirror away from you! Though you aren't doing it so much, cut it down a bit... I think you are brilliant and what I'm trying to say is that looks aren't everything, it's what's inside your heart that is important."

After taking Shrager's views on board, Flanagan said that she wasn't stupid and bemoaned the fact that people always just assumed that about her.

"People don't take me seriously, [but] having make-up makes me feel more confident," she explained.

Later, Shrager revealed that she really had grown fond of the actress.

"She's got a lot to her that girl," she told the Bush Telegraph. "I really like her because yes she is ditzy but she's not stupid.

"If she has the opportunity to stay in I think she's got a lot to show and she'll pull it out of the bag."
