Cerys' friend wary of Bannerman

A friend of Cerys Matthews has claimed that he is worried Marc Bannerman will break the singer's heart.

Bannerman's partner Sarah Matravers arrived in Australia yesterday claiming that she is ready to "throttle" the actor for flirting with Matthews.

The former Catatonia singer's friend Emyr Penian believes that Matthews' feelings for Bannerman are genuine.

He told IC Wales: "I was watching last night with a big smile on my face, thinking, ‘She’s falling for him’.

"If it turns out good then I couldn’t be happier for her, but the only thing that concerns me a little bit is whether it’s genuine on his part or it all goes sour afterwards.

"But she’s single so she can do what she likes for a while."
