The Dancing on Ice host said that he would choose to appear in ITV's jungle-based competition over its rival formats.
"I'm a Celeb is the only one I would do," he told More. "I mean, I wouldn't ever do it but if I was going to do one, that's the one I'd do.
"I went out to Australia a couple of years ago to look at where they filmed the show. I'm such a TV geek and I wanted to see how it worked."
Schofield added that he would be more terrified about living with other celebrities than taking on the show's dreaded Bushtucker Trials.
"The challenges don't worry me though, I could eat all the stuff no problem," he claimed. "But I just know I'd be put in there with Michael Winner and Jeffrey Archer and end up killing someone in the night. My true self would come out."
Schofield is reportedly set to front ITV's coverage of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee alongside Julie Etchingham.
