Earlier, The X Factor dipped by around 70k from last Sunday to 8.92m (33.3%) at 8pm (201k/0.8% on +1). Earlier, Surprise, Surprise entertained 3.95m (15.8%) at 7pm (197k/0.7%).
On BBC One, Strictly Come Dancing climbed by almost 500k from last week to 10.03m (39.0%) at 7.15pm.
Later, The Paradise was up by around 600k to 4.77m (17.9%) at 8pm, while Britain and the Sea interested 2.82m (10.8%) at 9pm.
BBC Two's Great Continental Railway Journeys appealed to 2.25m (8.4%) at 8pm, followed by Morecambe & Wise - The Whole Story with 1.95m (7.8%) at 9pm.
On Channel 4, Finding Babylon's Hanging Gardens intrigued 1.12m (4.2%) at 8pm (193k/0.7%). The latest Homeland attracted 1.57m (6.0%) at 9pm (135k/0.7%).
Channel 5's broadcast of Entrapment thrilled 713k (2.8%) at 7pm (129k/0.5%). Documentary Hitler's 9/11 brought in 683k (2.6%).
