Edwards predicts long 'Ice' stint for Carty

Jeremy Edwards has admitted that he expects Todd Carty to reach the final of Dancing On Ice.

The actor, who was eliminated from the programme on Sunday night, predicted that Carty's comic routines would prove popular with viewers throughout the show's run.

Edwards also backed former X Factor star Ray Quinn, who has received unanimous praise from the judges following his first two performances.

"Todd is a ratings winner," Edwards told the Daily Star. "Everyone will be saying: 'What will Todd do next?' They'll have to think of something else for him to do. If you're smart that's what you do.

"It could be a Todd vs. Ray final and Todd could win."

Carty recently revealed that his rival contestants have compared him to Strictly Come Dancing's John Sergeant.
