Susie: 'Carty is improving on the ice'

Todd Carty's Dancing On Ice partner has insisted that the actor is making an improvement in rehearsals.

The former EastEnders star has been compared to Strictly Come Dancing's John Sergeant following his struggle to master the skills required for the ITV1 skating show.

However, speaking to The Mirror, professional dancer Susie Lipanova claimed: "In the last week I have noticed an improvement - I honestly have. He's actually been teaching me some steps this week, he's made up his own little sequence. He's gaining confidence."

She added: "Todd is one of the nicest men you could meet. He listens and he tries. I can't ask for more than that."

Axed star Jeremy Edwards recently revealed that he expects Carty to reach the final.
