The 20-year-old actress was best known for her role as Charlotte Hinchcliffe in E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners before she made her debut on the ITV1 skating competition.
Recalling one recent encounter with a Dancing On Ice fan, Atack told The Mirror: "I was in Tesco buying my lunch when this man walked over and basically accosted me about what I was eating.
"I had a sandwich and this giant Snickers bar and he just walked right up to me and asked, 'Shouldn't you be practising your skating?' while scowling at my big chocolate bar.
"It was hilarious, but it made me realise just how many more people are going to recognise me after doing Dancing On Ice. The Inbetweeners is a kind of cult hit so there are about a million viewers, but this show is mainstream and there are 11 million people watching every Sunday night. It's completely mad."
Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6.45pm on ITV1.
