The actress was taken to hospital after a head fall caused her to smash open her chin while rehearsing with dance partner Matt Evers in Sheffield.
Faye, who won Dancing On Ice's 2006 series, was given three stitches at the city's Northern General Hospital before eventually getting the all-clear to carry on skating.
She told the Sheffield Telegraph: "It shows how dangerous this sport is really. I was skating on my own and toe picking - and fell straight on to the ice, flat out.
"I was taken up to casualty, in my costume, with eyelashes on. I managed to get my boots off. But they were a bit shocked when I walked in at Sheffield Northern General.
"They got me in quite quickly and I had to have three stitches. I've got a skater's chin at last. It's a shame this happened - it's a blip. But I'm back."
The Dancing On Ice tour kicked off at the Sheffield Arena last night.
