As previously revealed, the four remaining celebrities will have to perform without their professional partners in the semi-final. The Sun claims that there are fears Madeley, who recently admitted that she suffered a panic attack during a performance, will "go to pieces" without the support of Michael Zenezini.
"Chloe finds it hard to control her nerves at the best of times but the one person who can calm her down is Michael," a source told the paper. "But on Sunday he won't be by her side to keep her strong."
They added: "Chloe is terrified she won't live up to her usual standard without him."
Host Phillip Schofield said that the 23-year-old was "scared" when told about the twist.
The Dancing On Ice semi-final begins on Sunday at 6.30pm on ITV1.
