Conley said that she is a massive fan of the ITV1 reality series and claimed that she has been trying to get a slot on the show for five years.
Watch Rosemary Conley talk Dancing on Ice with Digital Spy below:
"I've wanted to do Dancing on Ice for five years. I've auditioned three times and never got in," she said. "So to get the phonecall this year was a dream come true."
Conley added: "I'm hoping some older women may be inspired to take this up as a sport because skating really is beautiful."
The 64-year-old will perform on the ice for the first time on live TV with pro partner Mark Hanretty this weekend.
Dancing on Ice launches on Sunday (January 8) at 6.30pm on ITV1.
