Dancing on Ice's Chemmy Alcott has revealed that producers had originally planned for her to be bigger than her pro partner.

Speaking to Digital Spy, the ski racer said that she would have made Dancing on Ice history by lifting her male partner.

However, the plan was abandoned after signing Canadian Sean Rice, who Alcott describes as a "giant hulk of a man" in the video below:

Meanwhile, of being one of the bookmakers' favourites to win the show, Alcott noted: "People who think that do not know skiing at all. I never ski pretty - it's arms-flailing, bull-in-a-china-shop attitude.

"This, I have to go out and entertain, be girly and elegant - all things I've never done. And I've never danced before. So this is all very foreign to me."

Dancing on Ice premieres this Sunday (January 8) at 6.30pm on ITV1.
