However, the plan was abandoned after signing Canadian Sean Rice, who Alcott describes as a "giant hulk of a man" in the video below:
Meanwhile, of being one of the bookmakers' favourites to win the show, Alcott noted: "People who think that do not know skiing at all. I never ski pretty - it's arms-flailing, bull-in-a-china-shop attitude.
"This, I have to go out and entertain, be girly and elegant - all things I've never done. And I've never danced before. So this is all very foreign to me."
Dancing on Ice premieres this Sunday (January 8) at 6.30pm on ITV1.
