Christine Bleakley almost missed Dancing on Ice due to food poisoning

Christine Bleakley has revealed that she was almost forced to pull out of Sunday's Dancing on Ice.

The former Daybreak presenter said that she suffered a severe bout of food poisoning after eating an inedible prawn sandwich.

She tweeted on Saturday: "Been in bed with food poisoning. Worst ever. Starting to feel normal again. Need fresh air."

The 32-year-old added on Sunday: "Let's just say I've taken pill precautions today."

Too ill to leave her house on Saturday, the star was forced to cancel her appearance on Irish talkshow Late Late Show.

Bleakley, who presents alongside Phillip Schofield, was announced as the ITV1 reality show's new co-host in November, replacing Holly Willoughby.
