Suzanne Shaw on "tough decision" to return to Dancing on Ice

By
Suzanne Shaw has spoken about her difficult decision to return to Dancing on Ice following the death of her father two years ago.

Appearing on ITV's Daybreak today (January 10), Shaw, who was joined by skating partner Matt Evers, revealed that she has been struggling without having her father to support her while she competes on the ice dancing show.

"It's been a really tough decision," said Shaw. "It's going to be quite hard for me, because he was there every single week and he loved the show.

"I know how much he really was so proud of me and was so behind me."

Shaw, who won the reality show in 2008, continued: "It is going to be tough but he's looking down on me. Everything's really positive with it and I just think, 'Come on, let's do it for Vinny!'"

The singer and actress also spoke about her 9-year-old son Corey's opinion of her returning to Dancing on Ice.

She said: "He's just embarrassed about it really! He's like, 'Please don't fall, please don't embarrass me in front of my schoolmates! But will I be on the telly? Will you see me in the audience?'"
