'Ice' judge advises contestants on Jason

Dancing On Ice judge Nicky Slater has advised the new batch of contestants that they should not take comments made by his fellow panellist Jason Gardiner too seriously.
Gardiner is known for his harsh criticism of the show's stars, which resulted in producers warning him about his behaviour during last year's run.
During the first series in 2006, contestant Kelly Holmes branded Gardiner "vile" after he compared her to a drag queen in one live show.
"My colleague Jason Gardiner is notorious for his barbed comments, and I know some dancers have been upset by them," Slater told the Daily Mail.
"It's hard to take I know - I get upset sat alongside him sometimes - but the contestants have to treat all that as part of the theatre, just a bit of fun. And it's vital they take on board any feedback because it all helps their performance."
Dancing On Ice returns tomorrow at 5.50pm on ITV1.
