Gates banned from tanning salon

ITV bosses reportedly banned Gareth Gates from visiting a tanning salon ahead of last night's Dancing On Ice.

The singer was forbidden from having a spray tan with male co-stars including Chris Fountain, Tim Vincent and Greg Rusedski before the opening show of the series.

Producers reportedly told the 23-year-old to have a break from the treatment over fears that he was starting to look orange.

A source told The Sun: "Gareth was overdoing it, so the other blokes went off for a tan without him. It looks like he's been Tangoed."

Meanwhile, tennis star Rusedski waxed his chest hair to stop it poking out of his shirt during his routine.

TV presenter Sarah Greene became the first contestant to be voted off the third series of the ITV1 contest.
