With Valentine's Day around the corner, inevitably this means that the cheesy themes are back in business for Dancing on Ice.

Of course it's 'Love Week', so we can probably expect plenty of heart cartoons projected onto the ice, pink costumes and more mention of Samia and Sylvain's 'romance' than you can shake a sparkly stick at.

So dig out the chocolate and sparkling wine (ITV cutbacks etc) and join Digital Spy for all of the luurvely action…

20:55Thanks for joining Digital Spy this evening, and don't forget to put a bid on Pasquale's jockstrap on eBay tomorrow morning. Night, all!

20:55Well, not exactly a shock result - but a bit of a sad one at the same time as at least Joe brought a few lols to the ice. Although I can't say I'm going to miss talk of his prostate or bowel movements.

20:52Teflon Keith survives to skate another day! Poor Joe and his friend Barry the Bunion are off home.

20:51Settle down, lads! Something tells me they're not taking this vote seriously...

20:50Every week I never cease to be impressed with the fact that Keith is a lot better than you'd presume he would be. Would be sad to see him and his smiley face go.

20:48And we get more info about Joe's bodily functions. Nice.

20:47Joe's having a good glide here, but the judges have repeatedly saved Keith. Will they do the same again? I get the feeling they might.

20:46I never predict anything correctly, so am quite stunned to have come up trumps with this one. Equally, I'm not that pleased because one of these muppets will be leaving. Boo.

20:44Lastly it's Luke, leaving Keith and Joe to face the Save Me Skate!

20:44Next is Beth, and the fourth one to survive is Matt.

20:43First through to next week is Gareth, followed closely by Samia (bit of a shock that one)

20:43Right, here we go then everyone. Hold onto your Thorntons chocolates (it was 'Love Week', after all)

20:42

20:41Aside from a recap, we might as well all rejoin this show at 8.45pm! You don't miss much in the first 15 minutes... Apart from more lovely adverts and a bitchy comment from Jason.

20:37Jason artfully turns around a question about who's not cutting it to say which contestant he's 'most disappointed with'. Are you glad he's back, or do you wish Louie was still on the panel?

20:35Ouch! Beth's back looks something rotten after she's scratched and bloodied by the ice after sliding about on it. Although it's not half as bad as some of the injuries sustained by the Splash! lot...

20:34Is it in Keith's contract that he can only wear pink shirts? Or is that something to do with him being an egg?

20:31Christine says there was plenty of love off the ice. She's obviously talking about Joe and Keith's bromance...

20:29Just noticed that Pip is wearing normal shoes on the ice rink! Noo! That's more dangerous than not wearing bowling shoes in the alley...

20:28Welcome back, hardy DOI fans! There's something called the BAFTAs going on at the moment, but let's not worry about that little old thing - there's a far bigger showbiz event about to happen on ITV. It's time for the Save Me Skate!

19:42I don't want to say Chegwin and Pasquale will land themselves at the bottom tonight, but I get the feeling either of them might face the chop. Don't forget to join us back here at 8.30pm for the result...

19:40That was also the end of 'Love Week'. Apart from silly comments from Phillip and Christine, where was the theme on the ice? Perplexing. Anyway, dubious themes are something I'm growing to accept and rather enjoy...

19:38Well, that was it, everyone! Gareth, Beth and Matt make up the top three on the leaderboard, with Joe and Keith (surprise surprise) trailing at the bottom. Who do you think gave the best performance tonight?

19:37Jason wants some 'dynamism' from Beth, and Robin gives her some nice words. Aw.

19:35Ashley morphs into Jason by giving the lowest score on the panel. Beth gets a total of 29.5 - losing marks for 'lack of fierceness' from Ashley.

19:34Surely if you're going to do a headbanger, your head shouldn't be unnecessarily weighed down with HUGE hair extensions? Anyway, she - of course - totally nails it.

19:32Beth is up next, and she has a bit of a horrible fall. She's also attempting the headbanger. Hold your breath, people...

19:31Anyway, back to the skating...

19:31There's a lot of complaints about the amount of ads during DOI. Part of me agrees, but they're also quite useful for getting a Coke or having a wee. When you're watching a film on the BBC, it can be an endurance test not getting up for over two hours.

19:27

19:14

19:12Anyway, generally good comments from the judges - aside from a strange one from Jason (obviously) talking about Luke's lip-licking.

19:11I hadn't noticed the water, 5imon...

"Surely the product placements are for Highland Spring water which is placed on the judges desks oh so neatly. Plus the Continental tyre posters in some of the rehearsals. #eyesopened"

19:10Luke gets a total of 24.0 for a good skate and a sunny shirt. Lovely. Not sure there was a lot of romance in all of that, but I won't worry about that.

19:09When the skating's going on, where does Phillip retreat to? He should have a little seat set up next to Jayne and Chris.

19:08Luke's wearing some glasses to rival that of early days James Arthur/modern-day Joe Pasquale. Are they his own, or just decorative?

19:06Speed skating, not speed dating... See what you did there, Phillip! Anyway, up next is Luke Campbell. Seems like a lovely lad, but maybe not quite winner material?

19:03Who's been your favourite skater so far tonight?

19:01

18:58Commentator Tony Gubba was getting a bit near the knuckle there by saying in a deep voice how Samia was wearing 'a seductive little black number' which would be perfect for a romantic dinner. Keep focused on the skating, Gubba! The judges are unanimous in their voting and give her 22.0.

18:57At least 80% of that routine was Samia being flung about.

18:55With all the subtlety of a sledgehammer, Samia and Sylvain are dancing to 'I Will Always Love You'. Personally I've never seen any chemistry between them and am getting way bored of this showmance.

18:54After Phillip read out the number, Matt did a funny little wave like he was a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and the camera was panning over him.

18:50Matt's dancing to a corking song, and manages some good skating. Sadly the pair end about five seconds after The Lumineers actually finished. Never a good look. Anyway, he leaves the ice with a total of 28.5...

18:48Make-Up Matt is up next, and the producers are trying to convince us there was national outrage and controversy for Matt staying in over Shayne. But all they can drum up is one headline in a red top and Pip discussing it on This Morning. No-one was really that fussed, were they?

18:46Still haven't found out what the product placements are in this programme. Answers on a postcard. Or in the comments section below...

18:44

18:41Hmm, Ashley's make-up seems a bit odd this week. It's like she hasn't had time to have her eye stuff put on.

18:40Is Joe the new Karen Barber? Maybe every time Jason says something, the camera will now pan to his face.

18:39Do ITV ply the audience with loads of sugar before 6.15pm? They were laughing their head of at Joe doing a bit of tip-toeing. He gets 18.5, despite being slow hand-clapped the whole way through that routine. They were probably not just trying to get rid of him...

18:37There was a cheeky shot of Joe with his sleeves rolled up, exposing a massive tattoo on his arm. Who knew? Very strange. Almost as strange as this routine...

18:35Good old Joe Pasquale is back again. He does provide a laugh or two, but he's probably skating on thin ice this week. Same goes for you, Chegwin!

18:34Twitter is awash with peeps slagging Bleakley's dress, likening it to seaweed. See their point, but personally I think it's quite nice. Poor dear - no matter what she puts on, the Daily Mail are bitchin' on it like a tramp on chips (thanks go to Nick Hewer for that phrase).

18:29Can't think anyone's heart is actually "yearning" to see Gareth skate again. The most it extends to is probably 'wouldn't mind'.

18:27Gareth gets a total of 30.0, despite wearing such a naff tie. Strobing.

18:25Jason seemed stunned into silence. Although perhaps his microphone wasn't working. That's probably more likely.

18:25For the second week in a row, Gareth has emerged fully clothed! He has a pretty good go at the skating, although partner Robin looked a bit pained in the end. Sure she was fine. Probably didn't dislocate anything anyway...

18:23Gareth seems to have fixed his 'banana hand', which sounds like a horrible medical condition. Maybe he'll get a few more points from the judges this week?

18:21

18:19We're being treated to a slightly slow and rubbish group performance, which again is mainly just arm movements. For added enjoyment there's bubbles of questionable liquid falling from the ceiling. Is that safe?

18:17And to kick off tonight, here's a nice montage of famous people falling over. It's like You've Been Framed but without the funny animals or people wearing wedding dresses tripping into a pond.

18:15Evening, everyone! Thanks for joining us tonight. If you've got snow where you are, never fear - we're here to keep you company and hopefully entertain you for the next hour and a half as the eight remaining celebrities do some crying, falling and potentially some skating!
