Could One True Voice be heading the way of Hear'Say?
The band's frontman, Daniel Pearce, is recovering after being attacked by thugs outside a Newcastle nightclub on Wednesday evening.
"A lad punched Daniel to the ground and then four others started kicking him," a witness told The Sun today. "They were slagging off his band and saying ‘Who the f*** do you think you are? You are s***’. He was just lying on the ground trying to protect his head and screaming back at them.
"So we got in the middle and broke it up and the attackers ran away. Daniel’s T-shirt was all ripped and he was furious. The police turned up a few moments later and Daniel got in the van."
Daniel's bandmate Keith Semple was with him at the time of the attack but escaped unhurt.
Daniel said he wouldn't be taking further action: "It was a completely unprovoked attack, but I am concentrating on promoting my new single and I have no wish to take the matter further."
One True Voice release their second single, 'Shakespeare's Way With Words', on June 2.
