One True Voice singer Keith Semple has slated his former girlfriend Hayley Evetts, claiming she only dated him for publicity.
Semple, 21, met Evetts whilst taking part in ITV's Popstars: The Rivals, for which Evetts presented extended coverage on ITV2. The pair enjoyed a whirlwind romance before getting engaged at Christmas, only to call it off a few weeks later.
"I have no respect for Hayley now. I think she leaked the whole engagement story to the press," he told The Mirror today.
"I definitely didn't propose - she did give me a friendship ring. Then when we split she said I'd given her a ring and proposed, which is rubbish. I was upset for about two days but then I picked myself up and got on with it.
"I wasn't going to lower myself by talking publicly about it but it made me realise she was in our relationship to boost her career."
