“ Popstars ”
New Girls Aloud track 'borrowed'
Published Thursday, Jul 24 2003, 11:41 BST | By Neil Wilkes
The new track from Popstars winners Girls Aloud "appears to have borrowed" heavily from an old Oasis song, according to a report in The Sun today.
The single, called 'Life Got Cold', apparently has a similar, if not exact, chorus melody to Oasis' classic 'Wonderwall'.
“This new single is a big departure from their usual sound," an insider told the tabloid. “They are all big Oasis fans so I’m sure they won’t mind comparisons with their classic love song. But I don’t think they are about to start wearing parkas and punching photographers — not at this stage in their careers anyway."
'Life Got Cold' is out on August 18.
