Popstars girls: What the judges said

The nine remaining girl finalists have performed, but in less than an hour two of them will be sent packing. Digital Spy recaps the comments from the three judges.

Javine

Sang 'Let's Stay Together'

Pete: "I think it's a foregone conclusion that Javine is in the band."

Geri: "You were fantastic, very professional. No doubt about it."

Louis: "I don't have to say how good she is, Javine knows how good she is. Pete's jealous."

Cheryl

Sang 'Still The One'

Geri: "I think it was a really good song for you, much better than the last time I saw you."

Louis: "What an improvement. Shania Twain eat your heart."

Pete: "Yes, it's an improvement. You look fantastic."

Chloe

Sang 'Rescue Me'

Louis: "I thought Chloe did a really good job. You rescued me."

Pete: "Fontella Bass was the original of that. You should never have attempted it."

Geri: "I think Chloe has got all the va-va-voom, and that's important. Normally though you need a large voice to sing that song."

Emma

Sang 'Be My Baby'

Pete: "I think you have improved dramatically on what we saw in the first week. I still think you're struggling in this competition."

Geri: "We all love Emma and she looks great. I think lack of experience does show, though. You have a lot of courage which is great. I'm still not sure if you're strong enough to go all the way."

Louis: "She's better than all of the Spice Girls. She's better than Kylie Minogue. She's a young kid, she's great, give her a chance."

Nicola

Sang 'Shout'

Louis: "She's little Ms Dynamite. It's a hard song to sing so Lulu would be proud of her. You did great."

Pete: "It's the only number that got the dog jumping tonight. Nichola's great. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do was tell Nicola she wasn't in the final ten. I'd put her in the final three."

Geri: "I'm so glad that you came back."

Aimee

Sang 'I Only Want To Be With You'

Pete: "I actually thought you were very confident tonight, you didn't look nervous at all. You were great."

Geri: "I think she'd be perfect for the band because all of the younger girls can identify with her. You're yummy."

Louis: "I'd love to have her in the band."

Kimberley

Sang 'Unbreak My Heart'

Louis: "Fantastic. Kimberley did a fantastic job. 10 out of 10."

Geri: "It's very hard to sing when you're ill, I know. You've got a lot of drama, which is really positive. Overall an ok job, I think you were better than last time."

Pete: "Here's a girl where the song is a magnificent song. She hasn't tried to outsing Toni Braxton, so she's got 10 out of 10 for the song and her."

Sarah

Sang 'Anyone Who Had A Heart'

Geri: "I thought that was really, really good. You've come on and progressed and that's lovely to see."

Louis: "Loved the song. Big performance. Fantastic."

Pete: "She's good fun, I love her. Better than Cilla Black, let's be honest."

Nadine

Sang 'Fields Of Gold'

Louis: "The performance of the night. Stole the show for me."

Pete: "When I was a lad, my grandadtold me that if you can't follow that with something positive or negative to say, leave it alone."

Geri: "You remind me of Eva Cassidy. I'd love to buy a single of yours already."
