However, there are only three spots left in the competition and we have four acts fighting it out. Somebody has to go home this evening. There's going to be tears.
But who will leave? Little Mix, Marcus Collins, Misha B and Amelia Lily's fates are in the hands of the public and there's nothing they can do now other than keep their little fingers crossed.
Digital Spy will be live-blogging the drama across the evening and doing our best to hold back the tears.
8.58pm So that's that for your semi-final... now it's just time for the countdown to the final at Wembley. It looks like it could be a fun show - and a tight race for the winner's crown! Good night for now...
8.57pm There's more Misha-chanting from the audience, but she's off the stage now and it's all about the finalists. Little Mix, Amelia Lily or Marcus... who is your winner? They're a bit jumpy and excitable, bless them.
8.55pm Misha kicks off her final performance with a rap (including the phrase "put it down", winningly). Then it heads into a vocally-fab cover of 'Who You Are' by Jessie J - earning a standing ovation from the judges (Tulisa's even crying...) It's a bit of a shame, really. Misha seemed to get a bit worn down by The X Factor - she kind of lost something she had in the early weeks. But are you pleased she's gone? Are you happy with your finalists?
8.52pm Misha never really hit it off with the audience - and you can argue about why that is. But she is taking her elimination so well. She's thanking everyone, getting a standing ovation from the judges, and hearing her name chanted by the audience. It's quite lovely, really. She's going to sing for a final time, too!
8.51pm Kelly's going to lose one of her girls - it's Amelia vs Misha B now. The final act through is... Amelia Lily! Bye bye Misha. Considering how many times she was in the bottom two, it's not surprising. But she was talented. She's taking it ever so gracefully, smiling so nicely.
8.50pm First act through (in no particular order, naturally) is... Little Mix! Hurrah! There's a lot of squealing. They're closely followed by the next act through... Marcus! So predictions that he would go were off, then.
8.48pm Okay, so now it's actual results time. Don't ever say The X Factor can't pad things out. Let's welcome back the acts!
8.46pm Oh my goodness. The adverts are over. It's ACTUAL RESULTS time. But first we get a ridiculously corny VT about how they all want it so much and can't go back to their actual jobs and how this is their dream and how their LIVES will be OVER if they don't get to the final. Classic X Factor. I don't blame the contestants for it, though.
8.39pm Actually, the vocals got pretty darn good after a bit of a shaky start. It's far more interesting and watchable than Bieber's bland performance, anyway. There's even a bit of pushing-of-the-album with Dermot, while Louis says she "put it down" and says she reminds him of a young Tina Turner. Louis, marry me.
8.36pm Hello breakdown! I do love a medley - here's 'Down For Whatever'. It's quite a fun performance generally. No doubt she'll get a bit of flak for her vocals (which are okay), but there's some decent dancing and attitude going on.
8.34pm Dermot jokes that it's not Louis who is performing. But seriously, can we make that happen? Here's Kelly! I am not convinced about the weird voiceover. But we're getting 'When Love Takes Over'!
8.32pm We're back, and Kelly's seat is empty. That can only mean one thing... she's getting ready for her performance! But first we're having chat with the judges. Louis thinks Amelia was the highlight, Tulisa is bigging up Little Mix, and Gary admits that he's worried about Marcus. We'll have to wait and see how it all turns out though. FIVE-MINUTE WARNING.
8.25pm Oh, he's going to sing to the judges. Even this slight movement from the stage gets squeals from the audience. Can Justin Bieber do no wrong? Anyway, it's over. Advert time - will you be applying for next year's X Factor?
8.23pm We're back, and straight into Justin Bieber. Lucky us. To be fair, he does have genuinely impressive numbers in his VT. Here we go - 'Under The Mistletoe'. I'm sure his fans are very pleased to have him on the show. And who doesn't like Christmas songs which include the word "shorty", right?
8.16pm Dermot's doing that awkward chat with the contestants now. They're all feeling nervous and they all want to get to the final. Who would have guessed?
8.14pm Gary is annoyed with Louis for criticising Marcus's song choice - it's the "weakest form of attack", apparently. Because Gary has never commented on song choice.
8.12pm If you ask me, the group numbers haven't quite been cheesy enough this year (but this week's gets a standing ovation from the judges). Here's the voting package, though - is it just us, or was last night a bit... lacklustre? And what did you make of Gary's controversial comments? Tactical or fair?
8.10pm Dermot thanks everyone for buying the X Factor charity single and getting it to number one (as if there was any doubt). More importantly, it's group performance time! It's 'Hold On', but disappointingly all the worst mimers have gone already.
8.06pm So, as well as the little matter of the results, we get performances from Justin Bieber and Kelly Rowland tonight. Oh, X Factor, you spoil us. But here are the judges! Seems both Kelly and Tulisa were told to rock the tinfoil look.
8.02pm So, here we go! Fancy finding out who's going to be in the X Factor final? Yeah, us too! And Dermot's so excited he just did an extra-fancy twirl.
7.50pm Exciting! Just ten minutes to go until our semi-final results show. But who do you think will be gone? It's all down to viewers' votes tonight so anything could happen... Let us know who you think's out below!
