The Girls Aloud star told The Sun that she has been given the group she wanted, which she believes includes the acts with the most talent.
Show bosses have been keeping quiet over which judge has which category, but Cole revealed that she is pleased with the singers she will mentor.
"I've definitely got the category I wanted... I don't need to win for me. I need one of my acts to win - and I know I've got one there," she said.
On this weekend's episode of The X Factor, Cole was brought to tears by Amy Connelly's rendition of 'There You'll Be' by Faith Hill.
"I thought you were amazing, I believed every word and I loved it," she told the 18-year-old.
