The X Factor runner-up, currently appearing on stage in Grease, flexed his biceps for the show's presenters.
He revealed that he managed to get in shape as a result of the physical demands of performing in the production.
"We do eight shows a week - it's pretty tough on the body. I do pull-ups and whatever - but that's about it, really," he said.
The singer added that he is still in touch with Leona Lewis, who pipped him to the X Factor crown in 2006.
"We speak often - Leona came to see the show as well which is good - yeah, we still keep in touch definitely," he said.
