Bad Lashes defend indecisive Walsh
Published Monday, Oct 13 2008, 19:30 BST | By Nick Levine

When two of Walsh's acts, girl groups Bad Lashes and Girlband, ended up in the bottom two, Walsh opted to force a "deadlock" situation instead of choosing between them.
"It was a really hard situation for him to be in," Bad Lashes star Sam Bennett told DS. "If I was in his position, I wouldn't have known what to do.
"He's a genuinely nice person and I don't think he could have made that decision because he didn't want to let either of his acts down."
However, Bennett also claimed that Walsh was surprised that Bad Lashes were eliminated after the results of the public vote were revealed.
"We did overhear him saying to someone backstage, 'I didn't think that would happen'," she said. "I think he thought we would have got more votes than Girlband."
