Cowell: 'Drained Cheryl could quit'

Simon Cowell has revealed that Cheryl Cole has yet to make a decision on her future with The X Factor.

The music mogul claimed that Cole may decide to quit after the current series because she is exhausted by the commitment required for the programme.

"It's too early to say if Cheryl will be back," Cowell told the Daily Star. "She's drained by it. You've got to get to the end of the show, give it a couple of weeks and go: 'Do I want to do it again?' If she says yes we'll welcome her back."

Cole joined the ITV1 talent show in the summer as a replacement for Sharon Osbourne, who decided to quit amid reports of a salary dispute.

Producers are said to be planning another shake-up of the judging panel next year, with Dannii Minogue being tipped to be replaced by a male music star.
