A newspaper claimed last week that results from the first four live shows had been leaked to the contestants, creating tension between Vickers, who reportedly emerged as a frontrunner, and the other female hopefuls.
However, White insisted that the article was "not true at all" and denied feeling any animosity towards Vickers.
"Diana was my best friend from the start and we shared a room in the X Factor house, so it would have been a bit difficult if we hadn't got on," she said.
Vickers was granted a free pass to the next round on Saturday after being diagnosed with severe laryngitis, but White, who was voted off later in the show, said she bears no bitterness.
"Diana was a very ill girl and if she'd have sung her voice would have gone. I don't feel any anger at all and what happened couldn't have been helped," she said.
