Walsh gave the hopeful consistently negative feedback over the course of the live shows, telling him on Saturday: "Everything was good but you were bad."
However, Evans insisted he was unfazed by jibes from the Irishman.
"To be honest I enjoyed being up there so much that when it came to the judges' comments I switched off entirely," he told DS. "I didn't want them to spoil my moment."
Evans was finally eliminated from the ITV1 singing contest on Saturday, but insisted he lasted long enough to annoy his nemesis.
"I am so grateful to the public for keeping me in this long because it kinda shut Louis up," he said. "I was starting to wonder, 'How far can we push this and how much can we wind Louis up?'"
