Louis Walsh had apparently picked out 'Rule The World' for his boys, but Dannii Minogue vetoed the decision having already chosen the song for her act Rachel Hylton.
JLS rehearsed two alternative Take That classics, eventually allowing Mark Owen and Gary Barlow to choose between the two during this week's X Factor masterclass.
Barlow's main advice to the group for "making it" as a boyband was to stay off junk food and look out for each other.
Take That will perform new single 'Greatest Day' on tonight's show, which will also feature former finalists Rhydian Roberts and Same Difference.
The X Factor airs at 7.25pm and 9.55pm on ITV1.
