Barlow offers to snap up Vickers

Gary Barlow has told Diana Vickers that he will sign her if Simon Cowell doesn't get there first.

Barlow met the 17-year-old student ahead of this week's X Factor and apparently marvelled at her work.

Vickers, who is mentored by Cheryl Cole, is said to be feeling the pressure and is worried about ending up the this week's bottom two.

However, the Take That star's comments gave her a confidence boost and an X Factor source said she is now determined to "come back with a bang".

Take That will appear on tomorrow's show, which also features performances from last year's contestants Same Difference and Rhydian Roberts.

The X Factor airs at 7.25pm and 9.55pm tomorrow on ITV1.
