Don Clarke, who has trained Quigg at Derry's Maiden City Soccer programme since 1998, revealed that the semi-finalist can perform well on the pitch as well as behind the microphone.
"Quiggsy could have been a professional footballer. He could do things with the ball that other ten-year-olds found impossible. He was as talented as any striker I've seen," Clarke told The Mirror.
The mentor also recalled when Quigg showed off his vocal skills while travelling on the team's coach, saying: "I remember on the bus after a match Eoghan sang 'Coward Of The County' by Kenny Rogers. He blew us away. It was note perfect."
