Cowell: 'Dannii is here to stay'

Simon Cowell has insisted that the judges panel for the sixth series of The X Factor is unlikely to change.

Despite recent rumours that Dannii Minogue would be replaced with a new judge, Cowell admitted it is likely that she will stay.

Speaking at a press conference, the music manager said: "We're going to sit down with everybody in January and get the contracts sorted out."

He added: "Last year I thought Sharon [Osbourne] was coming back, but I would be surprised if it's a different lineup."

Cowell then joked that the only change made to the panel would be that Louis Walsh is "going to have some work done".

"Is that part of the contract, Simon?" Walsh responded. "Well I want to do the gig, so I'll do it!"

The X Factor concludes Saturday at 7.10pm and 9.40pm on ITV1.
