Alexandra Burke wins 'The X Factor'

The 20-year-old beat boyband JLS in the finale, during which more than eight million votes were cast. Young Irish hopeful Eoghan Quigg finished in third place.
Burke, who hails from North London, had earlier performed a version of 'Listen' alongside Beyoncé. She had been mentored throughout the competition by Cheryl Cole.
On hearing the news, Burke was overcome with tears, saying only: "Thank you everyone."
Simon Cowell remarked: "I am rarely speechless but I am now. Alex, God bless you, you deserve it."
Burke's debut single 'Hallelujah' is released at midnight tonight.
