Thousands of fans lined the streets of Dungiven, County Londonerry to catch a glimpse of the 16-year-old who came third in the competition.
Crash barriers were erected to keep the crowds under control as Quigg, accompanied by a police escort, toured his hometown on an open top bus waving at fans and thanking them for their support.
"It's brilliant to be home for Christmas and back to normality after all this madness," he said. "I'm enjoying life at the moment, but I'm still the same person."
