Al Fayed 'pays Burke's mum's bills'

Alexandra Burke's sick mother has reportedly been given a helping hand by Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed.

Melissa Bell, a former singer with Soul II Soul, needs three doses of kidney dialysis per week after being taken ill this summer.

Al Fayed has now stepped in to help, offering to install a dialysis machine at her home as well as fly over his own doctor, according to The Mirror.

The tycoon is also said to have given 19-year-old Burke a free shopping spree in his Knightsbridge store.
