Burke: 'I'm a different person on stage'

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has claimed that she takes on a new persona when she is performing.

The 20-year-old revealed that she is similar to her hero Beyoncé, who has said that she becomes her alter-ego Sasha Fierce when she sings at concerts.

"Beyoncé gets on stage and she's Sasha Fierce, then she's different off stage," Burke is quoted by The Sun as saying. "It's just like me. I get on stage and I'm a different person to what I am off stage."

Burke and Beyoncé teamed up to perform together on the X Factor final two weeks ago, helping the budding star to secure victory over rival acts JLS and Eoghan Quigg.

She added: "It was my biggest dream to duet with this woman."

The show's champion bagged the Christmas number one spot with her debut solo song 'Hallelujah' last weekend.
