Minogue 'buys £2k ring for Cheryl Cole'

Dannii Minogue treated her X Factor co-star Cheryl Cole to a £2,000 birthday gift this week, according to a report.

The Aussie popstar is believed to have handed an Yves Saint Laurent ring to Cole, now 26, as they celebrated at London's Vanilla club on Wednesday night.

A source told The Mirror: "Cheryl was over the moon - they are both fans of a bit of bling so it went down really well.

"Next day the girls were hanging out between takes of X Factor, giggling and swapping stories from the night before."

Minogue was said to be "heading for all-out war" with Cole following a series of spats after the Girls Aloud singer joined The X Factor's judging panel last year.

However, the 37-year-old later dismissed the rumours, commenting: "The stories about Cheryl and I not getting on have made us both laugh. Cheryl's a wonderful person and does an amazing job. Her kindness is abundant."
