Foul play on 'X Factor'?

Published Sunday, Oct 31 2004, 10:09 GMT | By Daniel Kilkelly
The X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are allegedly planning to gang up on fellow judge Simon Cowell, by using their votes to eliminate Simon's acts each week.

Every Saturday, the two acts with the least votes from the public have to perform again for the judges, who then decide who to send home. Louis and Sharon have apparently made a pact to vote out Simon's acts each week, in a bid to stop him from winning the show.

Louis told The People, "Myself and Sharon are going to vote off Simon's acts.

"If they are in the bottom two of the week we are going to get them off. Absolutely.

"We have discussed it and we are ganging up against him to make sure that Simon cannot win the show."

The two judges apparently came up with the plot last week, when Sharon's first act, Roberta Howett, was voted off the show.

Louis added, "As soon as we were on air Simon turned into this monster. He put down the blind guy Peter Jones and Emma Paine from 2 To Go for no reason. I was really annoyed with him. He thinks it's all about him and he knows everything.

"He thinks the whole show is about Simon Cowell. Welcome to the world of Simon Cowell - population one."

Simon's first act, 50-year old Verity Keays, was voted out of the show last night.
