The X Factor's Tabby Callaghan had a heated argument with his girlfriend before going on stage to perform last week.
The show's crew were astonished when Tabby's girlfriend, Anna Leask, gave him a piece of her mind before he went to sing live to the nation.
Tabby told the Sunday Mirror, "Yeah, we had a bit of a fight at last week's show. The pressure of being apart and Anna looking after the baby on her own has got to her. She's trying to bring up Illan on her own and she's tired all the time. So it's hard for her.
"She's lonely because she hasn't got any family in Ireland where we live - they are all in the Shetland Islands."
The newspaper claims that this was the reason that Tabby's mentor, Sharon Osbourne, allowed Anna and six-month-old son Illan to stay with Tabby for a few days last week.
Tabby is favourite to win the ITV1 talent search.
