Minogue: 'Simon Cowell judges God'

Dannii Minogue has revealed that she feels privileged to be working alongside Simon Cowell on The X Factor.

The Australian popstar joined the ITV1 talent show's judging panel in the summer of 2007 after reportedly impressing Cowell with her performance on Australia's Got Talent.

Minogue told Grazia: "This show is the biggest thing that has ever happened to me. It's astonishing. Let's face it. Simon Cowell is looking down at God, judging him. To be around that is incredibly exciting, and an honour."

The singer, who is currently involved in a relationship with rugby player Kris Smith, added that she can understand why women find Cowell attractive.

She commented: "He is definitely a man with incredible appeal. His power, his magnetism and his raw honesty."

Minogue signed up for The X Factor's forthcoming sixth series in June.

The programme returns to ITV1 on August 22.
