Cole still tipped for 'X Factor' victory

Cheryl Cole remains the bookies' favourite to win The X Factor this year, it has been revealed.

According to The Sun, the Girls Aloud star's chances of mentoring the winning act can now be backed at 2/1, while Simon Cowell follows in second place with odds of 9/4.

Dannii Minogue is currently third favourite with Ladbrokes quoting odds of 11/4, while Louis Walsh is trailing behind at 10/3.

Despite recent category leaks, the judges' positions in the betting are unchanged from last month, when punters first started to make their predictions for the new series.

Cole was the winning mentor on last year's show, guiding Alexandra Burke to victory in her first year as a panellist.
