Cowell angered by Osbourne

Simon Cowell has branded the ongoing argument between himself and his fellow X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, "insane".
Cowell is apparently furious after Osbourne, who lost her diamond engagement ring in a burglary at her Buckinghamshire home, claimed that he had said, "It was well worth giving away the diamonds for all that publicity."
He told The Sun, "That’s a travesty of the truth. I’m incredibly angry and hurt. I don’t know what Sharon’s motivation is but the whole thing is verging on insanity."
Giving his version of the incident, which happened at the Woman Of The Year Awards, he explained, "I went over, gave her a hug and she thanked me for the flowers I’d sent her when I learned of the robbery.
"She looked very down and to cheer her up I joked, ‘Well Sharon, you really didn’t have to go that far to get publicity for the show - but it was sweet of you!’
"She burst out laughing - she knew I was trying to make her smile - and so did I. Then we hugged again and even posed for photographs together for five minutes."
Simon added, "I am very upset. She has really crossed the line this time. I will not allow her to distort the truth in such an outrageous way. It is unfair, hurtful and dishonest."
