Evans, who reached the semi-final of the 2007 competition, releases the track via iTunes on September 21. An album is expected to follow later in the year.
She will perform the song at The Bentall Centre in Kingston at 1pm on the day of release. She is also planning a tour in early 2010.
The singer, who was mentored by Louis Walsh, is currently appearing in the musical Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre.
Simon Cowell is rumoured to have described Evans's rendition of the 2007 winner's single 'When You Believe' as the best version from the the final four contestants. However, Leon Jackson eventually won the show, beating Rhydian Roberts and Same Difference in the final.
