Minogue, Cowell 'in pole position'

Dannii Minogue and Simon Cowell reportedly believe that they are in the best position to win this year's X Factor.

A show insider told The Sun that the judges are mentoring better artists than rivals Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

They said: "There's a lot of teasing going on among them but Dannii and Simon know they are in pole position to end up on top.

"Louis is gutted to get the groups again and he knows he hasn't got a hope in hell of doing well this year."

They added: "He's even had to resort to putting through dreadful twins John and Edward Grimes in an attempt to get some attention back from the others.

"Cheryl's busy working on the launch of her solo single and doesn't feel as close to her acts this year."

Cole recently told The Sunday Times that she would be "less involved" with her group than in 2008 because she felt a particular responsibility to the girls rather than this year's male acts.
