The Australian singer sparked anger on Saturday by discussing the budding star's sexuality live on air. Her comment came after Johnson changed the lyrics of 'And I Am Telling You' to make reference to a woman rather than a man.
Referring to Johnson's recent confession that he is bisexual, Minogue said: "If we're to believe everything we read in the papers, there was no need to change the gender references."
According to the Daily Star, a survey of 3,000 viewers carried out by website Onepoll found that 82% of fans want Minogue to be sacked as punishment for her behaviour.
The star was seen making a live apology on last night's results show. She was also defended by Danyl's mentor Simon Cowell.
A show spokesman commented: "As far as we are concerned, the matter is closed. Dannii will not be sacked."
Johnson added: "We are completely cool about it and chatted after the show. I wasn't upset."
The X Factor continues on Saturday at 8pm on ITV1.
